What Our Clients Say
Businesses across the Midwest trust Cleveland Pallet for reliability, fair pricing, and genuine commitment to sustainability. Here are some of their stories.
We switched to Cleveland Pallet two years ago and haven't looked back. They deliver Grade A heat-treated pallets on a weekly schedule like clockwork, and we've cut our pallet spend by nearly 45%. Their team genuinely understands food-safety compliance.
Our assembly line depends on consistent, heavy-duty pallets that can handle 2,500+ pounds. Cleveland Pallet custom-builds block pallets to our exact specs and has never missed a delivery window in three years of working together. They are a true logistics partner.
We go through about 800 pallets a month during peak season. Cleveland Pallet not only supplies us with quality recycled pallets at great prices, they also pick up our damaged ones and give us credit. The whole cycle is seamless and it keeps our costs predictable.
Compliance is everything in pharma logistics. Cleveland Pallet provides FDA-compliant plastic pallets with full documentation and traceability. Their quality control process is the most thorough I've seen from any regional pallet supplier. Zero issues in 18 months.
We generate a lot of broken pallets from our production lines. Cleveland Pallet hauls them away, recycles the usable lumber, and sells us back refurbished pallets at a fraction of the new price. Their repair program has saved us over $40,000 annually.
Our company set a goal to divert 100% of wood waste from landfill. Cleveland Pallet helped us design a closed-loop pallet program where every single pallet is either reused or recycled. Their environmental reporting makes our annual sustainability audit a breeze.

Complete Pallet Solutions
From procurement to disposal, we handle every stage of the pallet lifecycle with sustainability at the core. Our integrated approach means one partner for all your pallet needs.
Why Choose Used Pallets?
Every year, approximately 40 million pallets end up in American landfills — that's roughly 8-10% of all wood waste in the country. By choosing used pallets, you're not just saving money — you're actively contributing to a more sustainable future and reducing the demand for new timber harvesting.
The United States has approximately 2 billion pallets in circulation at any given time. With proper reuse and recycling programs, the vast majority of these pallets can serve multiple lifecycles before being converted into other useful products like mulch, biomass fuel, and animal bedding.
Our customers save an average of 40-60% compared to new pallet prices while achieving the same performance for most applications. It's a win-win: your bottom line improves and the planet benefits.
The Circular Economy
Our pallet lifecycle management ensures every pallet is reused, repaired, or recycled. Nothing goes to waste. From collection to sorting to repair to redistribution — we manage every stage.
Pallets for Every Need
From standard GMA pallets to custom-built solutions, all available in used, refurbished, or new condition. We stock over 50,000 pallets at any given time.
Pallet Size Comparison
Not sure which pallet size you need? Here are the six most common pallet dimensions in the U.S. market with their specifications, typical applications, and current availability from our inventory.

Drums, barrels, chemical containers, and square footprint loads. Common in petroleum, chemical, and paint industries.
Telecommunications, paint, and square-footprint applications. CMA standard for paint industry and widely used in telecom.
Beverages, small-footprint loads, and floor displays. Ideal for tight warehouse aisles and compact retail store deliveries.
Military applications, beverage canning, and shrink-wrapped loads. Common in defense logistics and specialty manufacturing.
Retail floor displays, point-of-purchase units, and small-quantity shipments. Fits through standard doorways with ease.
Need a size not listed? We build custom pallets to any dimension.

Every Pallet Makes a Difference
Trees Saved
Through pallet reuse and recycling since 2010. Each reused pallet saves the wood from one tree.
Tons Diverted
Tons of wood waste diverted from Ohio landfills through our recycling programs.
Pallets Processed
Total pallets inspected, repaired, sold, or recycled since our founding in 2010.
Carbon Reduction
Reusing a pallet reduces carbon emissions by 80% vs. manufacturing a new one.
The Pallet Lifecycle
Every pallet follows a journey from raw material to end-of-life recycling. Our closed-loop system ensures maximum value is extracted at every stage, and nothing is wasted.
Sustainable Sourcing
Timber is harvested from SFI-certified sustainable forests or sourced from reclaimed lumber. We prioritize suppliers who practice responsible forestry, replanting programs, and minimal-impact harvesting techniques. Every board we use is traceable back to its origin.
Manufacturing & Assembly
Raw lumber is cut, dried, and assembled into pallets at our facility or at partner mills. We use precision equipment to ensure consistent dimensions and structural integrity. Heat treatment is applied to export-bound pallets to meet ISPM-15 standards.
First Use in the Supply Chain
New or refurbished pallets enter commercial use — carrying goods through warehouses, onto trucks, and across state lines. A single pallet may carry thousands of pounds of product through multiple legs of a supply chain before returning for inspection.
Collection & Return
After use, pallets are collected from businesses, warehouses, and distribution centers. Our fleet picks up used pallets on regular routes across 7 states. We also accept drop-offs at our Cleveland facility. This is where the reuse cycle begins.
Inspection & Grading
Every returned pallet is hand-inspected by our quality team. Pallets are sorted into Grade A (premium), Grade B (standard), and Grade C (economy) based on structural condition. Pallets beyond repair are flagged for dismantling and material recovery.
Repair & Refurbishment
Damaged pallets with repairable issues receive board replacement, stringer repair, or block rebuilding. Our repair technicians restore pallets to full load-bearing capacity, extending their useful life by 3-5 additional cycles. This is where the most environmental value is created.
End-of-Life Recycling
Pallets that cannot be repaired are dismantled. Usable boards are salvaged for repair stock. Remaining wood is processed into mulch, animal bedding, biomass fuel, composting material, or landscaping products. Metal fasteners are separated and sent to scrap recycling. Zero waste reaches landfill.
Our Sustainability Commitment
We do not just recycle pallets — we are building a zero-waste future for the wood products industry. Here are the measurable goals we hold ourselves accountable to.
Zero-Waste Facility
Our Cleveland facility diverts 98% of all incoming material from landfill. Our goal is to reach 100% zero-waste certification by the end of 2027. Every scrap of wood, metal, and plastic is either reused or recycled into new products.
Carbon Offset Program
We invest in verified carbon offset projects to neutralize our fleet emissions. Since 2021, we have offset over 600 metric tons of CO2 through forestry and renewable energy credits across the Midwest region.
Tree Planting Initiative
For every 10,000 pallets we process, we fund the planting of 100 trees through our partnership with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. We are 90% toward our 50,000-tree milestone target.
Community Wood Waste Reduction
We partner with Cuyahoga County to reduce wood waste in local landfills. Since 2018, we have helped reduce county wood waste by 60% through free pallet collection programs for small businesses and municipalities.
We publish an annual Sustainability Report detailing our environmental metrics, goals, and progress. If your organization requires vendor sustainability documentation for ESG reporting, we provide it at no additional cost.
