Sustainability First

Why Choose Used Pallets?

Every year, approximately 40 million pallets end up in American landfills — that's roughly 8-10% of all wood waste in the country. By choosing used pallets, you're not just saving money — you're actively contributing to a more sustainable future and reducing the demand for new timber harvesting.

The United States has approximately 2 billion pallets in circulation at any given time. With proper reuse and recycling programs, the vast majority of these pallets can serve multiple lifecycles before being converted into other useful products like mulch, biomass fuel, and animal bedding.

Our customers save an average of 40-60% compared to new pallet prices while achieving the same performance for most applications. It's a win-win: your bottom line improves and the planet benefits.

Full Lifecycle

The Pallet Lifecycle

Every pallet follows a journey from raw material to end-of-life recycling. Our closed-loop system ensures maximum value is extracted at every stage, and nothing is wasted.

01

Sustainable Sourcing

Timber is harvested from SFI-certified sustainable forests or sourced from reclaimed lumber. We prioritize suppliers who practice responsible forestry, replanting programs, and minimal-impact harvesting techniques. Every board we use is traceable back to its origin.

02

Manufacturing & Assembly

Raw lumber is cut, dried, and assembled into pallets at our facility or at partner mills. We use precision equipment to ensure consistent dimensions and structural integrity. Heat treatment is applied to export-bound pallets to meet ISPM-15 standards.

03

First Use in the Supply Chain

New or refurbished pallets enter commercial use — carrying goods through warehouses, onto trucks, and across state lines. A single pallet may carry thousands of pounds of product through multiple legs of a supply chain before returning for inspection.

04

Collection & Return

After use, pallets are collected from businesses, warehouses, and distribution centers. Our fleet picks up used pallets on regular routes across 7 states. We also accept drop-offs at our Cleveland facility. This is where the reuse cycle begins.

05

Inspection & Grading

Every returned pallet is hand-inspected by our quality team. Pallets are sorted into Grade A (premium), Grade B (standard), and Grade C (economy) based on structural condition. Pallets beyond repair are flagged for dismantling and material recovery.

06

Repair & Refurbishment

Damaged pallets with repairable issues receive board replacement, stringer repair, or block rebuilding. Our repair technicians restore pallets to full load-bearing capacity, extending their useful life by 3-5 additional cycles. This is where the most environmental value is created.

07

End-of-Life Recycling

Pallets that cannot be repaired are dismantled. Usable boards are salvaged for repair stock. Remaining wood is processed into mulch, animal bedding, biomass fuel, composting material, or landscaping products. Metal fasteners are separated and sent to scrap recycling. Zero waste reaches landfill.

Green Pledges

Our Sustainability Commitment

We do not just recycle pallets — we are building a zero-waste future for the wood products industry. Here are the measurable goals we hold ourselves accountable to.

Zero-Waste Facility

Our Cleveland facility diverts 98% of all incoming material from landfill. Our goal is to reach 100% zero-waste certification by the end of 2027. Every scrap of wood, metal, and plastic is either reused or recycled into new products.

Progress98% achieved

Carbon Offset Program

We invest in verified carbon offset projects to neutralize our fleet emissions. Since 2021, we have offset over 600 metric tons of CO2 through forestry and renewable energy credits across the Midwest region.

Progress75% of goal

Tree Planting Initiative

For every 10,000 pallets we process, we fund the planting of 100 trees through our partnership with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. We are 90% toward our 50,000-tree milestone target.

Progress45,000 trees planted

Community Wood Waste Reduction

We partner with Cuyahoga County to reduce wood waste in local landfills. Since 2018, we have helped reduce county wood waste by 60% through free pallet collection programs for small businesses and municipalities.

Progress60% reduction

We publish an annual Sustainability Report detailing our environmental metrics, goals, and progress. If your organization requires vendor sustainability documentation for ESG reporting, we provide it at no additional cost.

Quick Answers

Common Questions

What is the minimum order for used pallets?

There is no strict minimum, but we recommend 20-50 pallets for cost-effective delivery. Smaller quantities can be picked up from our Cleveland facility. Bulk pricing starts at 100+ units.

How quickly can I get pallets delivered?

Same-day delivery is available in the Cleveland metro area. Standard orders ship within 24-48 hours across Ohio. Regional deliveries (PA, MI, IN, WV, KY, NY) typically arrive within 2-5 business days.

Do you buy used pallets?

Yes! We purchase used pallets of all types and conditions. Whether you have 50 or 5,000, we'll make a fair offer based on condition and current market rates. We handle all pickup and transportation.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Ohio (our home state), Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, and New York. That covers most of the Midwest and parts of the Northeast.

Can you provide heat-treated pallets for export?

Absolutely. We are a certified ISPM-15 heat treatment facility. All heat-treated pallets receive the official IPPC stamp required for international shipping. We can treat pallets you supply or sell you pre-treated pallets from our inventory.

What is the difference between stringer and block pallets?

Stringer pallets use two or three long boards (stringers) running lengthwise to support the deck. Block pallets use blocks of solid wood at the corners and center, allowing forklift entry from all four sides. Block pallets are stronger and more versatile, while stringer pallets are more economical for most standard applications.

Do you offer recurring delivery schedules?

Yes. Many of our clients set up weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly standing orders with scheduled delivery routes. This ensures you always have pallets on hand without placing individual orders. Your account coordinator manages the entire schedule and adjusts quantities as your needs change.

What happens to pallets that are beyond repair?

Pallets that cannot be repaired are dismantled at our facility. Usable boards are salvaged for repair stock. The remaining wood is chipped and processed into mulch, animal bedding, biomass fuel, or composting material. Metal fasteners are sent to scrap metal recycling. We maintain a 98% landfill diversion rate.
